Since 2017, the large, well-appointed and comfortable Newchapel Community Hub has been open for hire. We have a number of regular groups that meet weekly, drawn from the local community and from St James’ Church. We also love to host birthday parties, anniversary parties and weddings, and we aim to work with you to make your event perfect. Sadly, due to the third Covid-19 lockdown, the Hub is currently closed for normal business. However, it is being used by a consortium of local pharmacies to administer Covid-19 vaccinations.
PEOPLE AGED 60 YEARS AND OVER, ALONG WITH VULNERABLE ADULTS, CAN BOOK UP TO RECEIVE THEIR COVID-19 VACCINATION AT THE HUB ON THURSDAY 4 MARCH AND SATURDAY 6 MARCH. APPOINTMENTS SHOULD BE MADE VIA https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/. CHOOSE ‘ST JAMES HUB NEWCHAPEL’ AS THE PLACE OF VACCINATION. THOSE WITH NO ACCESS TO A COMPUTER CAN BOOK IN BY PHONING 119. EITHER WAY, AN NHS NUMBER WILL BE REQUIRED.
Please note that the Newchapel Hub is NOT responsible for the vaccination sessions, but is being used by NHS contractors for that purpose. There is plenty of parking next to the Hub and the neighbouring St James’ Church. Please be considerate when on site.
We look forward to welcoming back regular users and occasional hirers once the Hub is able to open to the general public once again.
